My target audience
Not too long ago I was asked by a literary agent to describe the target audience of No stranger to the P45. I was unable to do so and after about twenty seconds of silence - a silence broken only by the sporadic dribble of saliva into the mouthpiece of the phone - that particular literary agent hung-up.
The question of my target audience has long-since intrigued me and there have been many occasions during which I've been effectively struck-dumb, an expression of bafflement across my face, as I've tried to picture them in my own mind's eye.
